Having listened to Bad Rabbits’ “Stick Up Kids” EP for what can only be described as an unhealthy amount of times over the past few years since it was released, I was more than excited and almost relieved to hear of their debut LP release “American Love” earlier this year.
Although I haven’t been overwhelmed by “American Love”, I’m keeping my beady eyes and ears open for new material from Bad Rabbits, in the hope that something with a little bit more impact and appeal (for me personally) rears it’s head. With a new album in the pipeline, I’ve got all crossable limbs, crossed. So here’s their latest offering, “Dance With Me”. It is due for release tomorrow, but can be streamed over at spin.com (the above link) right now, check it out and see what you think!
Remember that scene from King Kong where the dinosaurs err…. pile up? Yeah, that.
Dinosaur Pile-Up released their latest album “Nature Nurture” (Through So Recordings/ Silva Screen Records Ltd) earlier this year, followed swiftly by a UK headline run.
The remainder of 2013 sees Dinosaur Pile-Up head stateside to support You Me At Six on their US headline tour (Alongside Tonight Alive, Cute Is What We Aim For & Conditions) from September 27th to 20th October.
Derail is the first single taken from “Nature Nurture”.
So, blogging ay? I’ve been contemplating it for a while but never actually got round to it! It’s amazing what a boring train journey and a semi-reliable Wi-Fi connection can do to my half asleep, caffeine fuelled brain at stupid o’ clock on a Sunday morning.
I’m forever nagging my friends to “Listen to this” or “Come to this show tonight” in the hope that they’ll break the monotony that is their limited, ageing iTunes library (i.e. the same five records they continuously play, fearing the new and unknown. (God forbid they may actually like something new)
Now I can bombard their social networking sites with links to this blog instead now! Nahhh, just kidding.
I’m forever on the hunt for new artists/ bands/ music, music that firstly: I love and secondly: I want everyone to hear. So, here we are! Another: New Music Blog.
I’ll be keeping Another: New Music Blog updated with new music, videos, tour announcements and general news as often as I can (I may even chuck a few book recommendations in there too, without veering too far away from music of course).
Feedback is always welcome and if you’d like to be featured here, don’t hesitate to contact me.
